CHRISTOPHER J. KAIL
Christopher J. Kail is the Chief Marketing Officer for Legend Financial Advisors, Inc.® (Legend).
Chris leads the firm’s marketing efforts which have largely contributed to the growth and success of Legend. Chris’ primary responsibilities include strategic marketing planning, execution of the firm’s marketing campaigns and meeting with prospective clients. Chris leads the team that manages the firm’s Website, SEO, e-mail marketing and social media campaigns, educational Webcasts, and digital marketing initiatives.
Chris is also instrumental in the firm’s new business development activities that includes cultivating relationships with prospective clients as well as with attorneys and accountants to develop referral relationships.
Chris has also previously served as an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Duquesne University. At Duquesne, he was a Professional Advisor and Mentor for Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE). The mission of Pi Sigma Epsilon is to develop the sales and marketing skills of its members through experiential learning and professional opportunities. Chris was also a member of Duquesne University’s Marketing Advisory Board. He has been a guest speaker at local universities discussing various marketing and networking strategies as well as internship opportunities for students. He has previously spoken to Carnegie Mellon University's student Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) and Duquesne University's Chapter’s of the AMA and the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).
Chris is actively involved in various local non-profit organizations. Chris’ extensive charity work includes being a past member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Pittsburgh Unit of the American Cancer Society (ACS). Chris is currently on the ACS Golf Committee and assists the Men Wear Pink campaign. Chris is a past candidate and winner of the Men Wear Pink competition in the Pittsburgh area.
Chris is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Western PA chapter. Chris is a past "Pittsburgh's 50 Finest" honoree and finished second overall in the fundraising competition in his class. He currently serves on the Pittsburgh’s “50 Finest” Steering Committee.
Chris is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Western PA and WV chapter. He currently serves on the “Visionary of the Year” Leadership Committee. Chris was previously selected by the LLS as one of their “Visionary of the Year” candidates. “Visionary of the Year” is a fundraising competition in communities across the U.S. Candidates raise funds for blood cancer research in honor of local children who are blood cancer survivors.
Chris is a former member of the Board of Directors for the former Northern Allegheny Chamber of Commerce (now the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber) where he also served as the Chairperson of the Education Committee, awarding college scholarships to local high school students. Chris was previously selected by the Northern Allegheny Chamber of Commerce as their “Emerging Business Man of the Year”.
Chris has also been selected by Pittsburgh Magazine and PUMP as one of the “40 Under 40” recipients. Each year, Pittsburgh Magazine and PUMP Sponsor the “40 Under 40” program with the goal of recognizing 40 people under the age of 40 who are committed to shaping our region and making it a better place for everyone to live, work, and play. The “40 Under 40” recipients were chosen based on their passion, commitment, visibility, diversity, and overall impact on the region. The “40 Under 40” recipients were selected by a panel of judges comprised of former winners, business professionals, and civic leaders. Chris was chosen for this from a pool of 225 nominees.
Chris graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies. Chris also earned a Master’s Degree from Duquesne in Corporate Communications with a concentration in Integrated Marketing Communication. Chris is an avid Steelers fan and season ticket holder. He is a native of Bethel Park, PA and currently resides in the Mt. Washington neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
